Centralian Citizen of the Year Awards recognize individuals that have made a significant contribution to the Alice Springs community during the current year or over a number of years.
There are four award categories:
Centralian Citizen of the Year Award (30 years or older)
Senior Centralian Citizen of the Year Award (65 years or older)
Young Centralian Citizen of the Year Award (under 30 years of age)
Community Event of the Year Award
The Community Event of the Year Award recognizes and encourages the significant contribution local organizations / groups make to community life and promotes national pride and community responsibility.
To be eligible for the Award the Community Event must have occurred in the year prior to 17 November 2025 (nominations close date).
Centralian Citizen of The Year Awards, along with a special Citizenship Ceremony, will be presented on Australia Day on Monday 26 January 2026; all nominees will be invited.
